An Ascent for Change

Kudos to Salim on his climb, raising $29,182!

At 5,895 metres (19,340 feet) Mount Kilimanjaro, is called the "Roof of Africa" and the highest free standing mountain in the world. I've had a life-long dream of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and in the process of fulfilling my dream, I'm raising funds to fight global poverty. I will be responsible for all my travel and mountain expenses.

This climb is about rethinking what matters in life; by making a difference to the less fortunate by supporting them in time of need. Many of you know that I am a Board Member of Women's Empowerment International Foundation (WEIF). All monies raised will be directed to WEIF for its various programs, of assisting women with microfinancing in Pakistan and supporting Community Care Centres in India to fight HIV/AIDS.

By supporting me on my ascent of Kilimanjaro on September 25, 2012, you are enabling a family's ascent out of poverty. Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, I may face great adversity, but together we hope to overcome an even greater hardship...that of poverty.

Thank you for your support!
